Complicated situation: Book cover published without my permission. Solved in the Court of Law and Portuguese Justice proved I'm the rightful owner of this image.
It's funny to read the sentences on the book cover about rebellion , fight for freedom , new civilization ..and then consider the facts and the way this publisher act , especially when he justify it , trying to spread his own responsability on more designers and trying to consider it as usual ..Well , people without shame and without honour
One thing remain above all : your artwork is valuable and some people don't hesitate to steal it ...They aren't aware that they can't steal your feelings , and that if they steal your artwork , they commit a straight assault , that all because they are blinded by the lust for money . You were right to stand up ..for your rights . Cheers
I'm so happy this thing has finally been resolved. And still I cannot even begin to fathom how it crosses someone's mind to just go ahead and do something like this. This didn't happen fifty years ago. Nobody ever stole a painting and sold it with their books. It's just inconceivable. So glad you came out victorious.
Thank you for your words
